This is war, round 2
March 2, 2008
During our first paintball game, we only had a menial number of 12. At one point I was concerned about not even having enough to form 2 teams. Everyone knew everyone, and then personal vendettas developed from there on.
Yesterday was a lil different. We had a total of 31 people after a bit of publicity, and frankly speaking that was a bit too many. Nonetheless, we divided everyone into 4 teams, lead by 1-time war veterans, Abdul, David, Duncan and myself.
And war we had. Playing round robin style, each team had the chance to play 4 rounds.

Dangerous things
To be honest, I was a lil disappointed about yesterday’s game. My team was a bit on the advantage side, having only 1 girl as opposed to the others who had an average of 3 girls. 5 out of 7 guys in my team played before. That translates into us practically winning 3 out of 4 matches, no thanks to all the reasons above. And yours truly took the middle flank, which practically kills the chance to do any heroic moves or even have confirmed kills. I survived 2 rounds without dying, 1 shot on the mask (again!) and another one somewhere near the waist.
But my (non-existent) injuries are nothing compared to this…

Check out their sexy waists

Duncan’s reproductive system is believed to be still functioning

Khek was seriously traumatized. No kidding.

Get ready, barrel socks off, safety off, fire testing shots! 5..4..3..2..1…

Team A a.k.a my team’s victory walk. At one point, 7 out of 8 of us survived that round. I certainly wasn’t the one doing the killing (Hmph!)
Anyways, Duncan and I have decided that in the next round, things are going to get more personal. 10 of us squaring off, capture the flag style. Then just maybe, we can wash off the bad blood between us eh, Duncan?

It was kinda funny calling me a vet, and everyone made it sound like I was some seasoned paintballer or something. Truth was, it was only the second time (in my entire life) playing paintball, that morning!!

Which is why I used the term 1-time-war-vet. LOL. I guess compared to the majority, 1 time experience is quite a lot.
Anyways, if this keeps going on, we’ll probably be real vets by the time the year comes to an end.

We were friggin war veterans that morning i tell you! But i think that one-time experience did make a difference. Cos we each knew (well mebe except for Gan) that the flanks were the best place to eliminate the opposition. I got at least 5-7 kills that morning! I know Narrowband got a few himself. Duncan went crazy on 2 rounds, hence he got shot in the you-know-where! So yeah !! We one-time vets were pretty damn good on the battlefield weren’t we ?? (Well mebe except for Gan) hahahaha

Bah. Was just about to change flanks with the others at the last game, but we ran out of pellets. Just didn’t want to send the newbies too fast to their death, if they do go to the middle. See, what a considerate team captain I am.
